How I started practicing Ashtanga yoga in the traditional form of the Mysore style and why I never left it

I started my Ashtanga yoga practice in a moment of my life when I needed an happy place where to reconnect to myself. That place was a yoga studio in Heidelberg where I took my first yoga class, it was July 2012. That class was Power Yoga and the teacher was Laurie, one of the best yoga teacher I met up to these days. From time to time, I also practiced Ashtanga yoga, which was offered in the same studio, but my passion was definitely Power yoga. Two years later, I moved back to my hometown, Bologna (Italy) and since I could not find any Power yoga class comparable to the ones Laurie was teaching, I decided to switch to Ashtanga yoga. In the studio where I used to practice, the teacher was running the led classes for beginners while in the back of the room other practitioners were doing their own Mysore style practice.

Was ist das Wesen der Seele in der klassischen Sāṃkhya-Yoga Philosophie? Wie wird die Existenz der Seele in der Sāṃkhya-Yoga Philosophie bewiesen? Wie ist das Verhältnis der Seele zu den Organen und dem Leib? Wie ist das Verhältnis der Seele zum Handeln? Was ist die Aufgabe der Seele?

Die Antwort auf diese Fragen habe wurden Īśvarakṛṣṇas Sāṃkhyakārikā (Vers 11-21) inkl. dem Sāṃkhyatattvakaumudī Kommentar von Vācaspati Miśra entnommen. Die Sāṃkha-Philosophie bildet die metaphysische Grundlage, die Theorie für die Praxisanleitung, die in Patañjali Yogasūtra niedergeschrieben wurde.
